I grew up watching my mom, a single immigrant mother of three, live a life defined by survival. Her focus was always on providing for her children, and whatever she had left went straight into the community. She believed in sharing knowledge and building connections. If she had information that could help another woman, she made sure she shared it.
What I also saw was that she didn’t have much support for herself. No one was there celebrating her wins, cheering her on, or pouring into her so she could thrive. And it hit me: even the strongest women need to be seen, recognized, and supported. Strength doesn’t mean you go it alone.
Now, as a wife and mother of two, I’ve realized that the survival mentality isn’t just something single moms face; it’s a mindset many of us carry. But what if MOMs had a space where support, guidance, and celebration were just part of the culture? A place where you don’t have to ask for help, it’s already there, waiting for you.
That’s why I created MOMNetwork. A community where Muslim mothers can connect, give, take, and grow. Whether through weekly check-ins, mentorship, workshops, or simply being seen. It’s a space where strength meets support, and where the victories, big or small, are always celebrated.
